LTK Eye Surgery

The Sunrise LTK laser is a promising technology that treats mild amounts of hyperopia by using a laser that heats the peripheral cornea causing shrinkage and thereby central steeping.

The problem with this laser is that the effect is not particularly stable in the long-term, and has a very high rate of regression. It can only be used to correct mild amounts of farsightedness.

Further development of this laser may yet amount to an excellent tool for refractive procedures, and the LTK laser may in the future be added to Alpha Laser Center.
